My Bright Education began with a real story of parent growing alongside their children.

In 2008, when their second daughter was born, co-founder Mr. Jia Liming made the heart-led decision to leave his teaching job. He became a full-time stay-at-home dad, and the years he spent raising his daughters gave him a whole new understanding of what education truly means.

In 2017, his wife and co-founder, Mdm. Yu Hui, also closed a chapter on her 17-year teaching career in government schools. Together, they decided to take a leap of faith. They were both nearing fifty at the time—an age when most people look for stability—but they chose to start something new for one simple reason:

“To help more children find joy in learning Chinese.”

Their eldest daughter had a strong foundation in Chinese during primary school, but as she grew up, she began to lose interest in her mother tongue. She even once told them, “I hate Chinese!” It was a heartbreaking moment, and they realized those words were echoed by many other students they had met in the classroom.

They realised the problem wasn’t the children, and it wasn’t the language itself—it was the way it was being taught.

With a shared vision, they founded My Bright Education. They are dedicated to creating fun, engaging lessons and more effective ways to learn. Their goal is to help every child find confidence and happiness in learning Chinese, so they can truly love their mother tongue and let it support them throughout their lives.
